The College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Shapes a Global Academic Generation in Its Twenty-Second Session

The College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held its twenty-second regular session for the academic year 2025–2026, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the college’s deanship headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, Dean of the College, and attended by the assistant deans, heads of scientific departments, and several heads of relevant administrative units and divisions.

​The council commenced its proceedings by reviewing the administrative and academic directives issued by the University Council, discussing mechanisms for their implementation in line with current requirements and the university’s orientation toward enhancing quality and institutional performance.

​The council emphasized the importance of expanding the adoption of English as the medium of instruction for certain courses within the academic programs. This initiative aims to elevate the efficiency of educational outcomes, enhance openness to international academic standards, and support students’ scientific and research capabilities.

​Furthermore, the council discussed organizing seminars for postgraduate students and approving the titles of Master’s theses and Doctoral dissertations. Emphasis was placed on preparing these projects according to international scientific standards and linking them to publishing requirements in reputable global databases, particularly Scopus.

​The council also stressed the importance of continuously developing the curricula and aligning them with scientific advancements and labor market requirements.

​The session concluded with the reading of the scientific departments’ minutes and discussing their contents, aiming to strengthen integration between academic and administrative aspects and solidify a culture of continuous improvement, thereby supporting the college’s journey toward academic excellence and leadership.

​These directions align with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) by developing the quality of higher education, enhancing scientific research, and preparing personnel capable of keeping pace with global cognitive and technological transformations.
