Discussion of Master’s Thesis on the Impact of Adopting Continuous Improvement Methodology on the Efficiency of Waste Paper Recycling in the Department of Industrial Management, College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 the Master’s thesis titled “The Impact of Adopting the Continuous Improvement Methodology on the Efficiency of Waste Paper Recycling,” presented by the student Ali Mahdi Jassim Ali Al-Sultani, in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to examine the reality of applying the continuous improvement methodology within the surveyed factory, and to clarify its role in supporting decision-makers in the waste recycling sector, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of production processes and enhancing environmental sustainability practices.
The results of the study revealed a statistically significant correlation and impact between the continuous improvement methodology, with its various dimensions, and the efficiency of waste paper recycling. This finding confirms the importance of adopting this methodology to develop operational performance, improve resource utilization efficiency, and reduce waste in recycling plants.
