The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Launches Its Activities for the New Academic Year: Quality, Accreditation, and Research Excellence at the Top of Priorities…

, The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held on Sunday, September 6, 2026 the first session of its department meeting for the academic year 2026–2027. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Ziyad Hashim Al-Saqqa, Head of the Department, and attended by faculty members, in implementation of the Deanship’s directives and in preparation for the launch of the new academic year.

​The meeting covered discussions on key academic and administrative matters concerning both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. It also involved approving the work plan for the new academic year, distributing teaching loads to ensure the smooth flow of the educational process, and finalizing the formation of scientific and administrative committees to follow up on their tasks.

​Furthermore, the department council addressed several main tracks, foremost among them completing program accreditation requirements, finalizing performance evaluation files for the academic year 2025–2026, adhering to lecture schedules, fulfilling course curricula, monitoring faculty attendance, and activating student absence tracking systems for undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as emphasizing the confidentiality of postgraduate student discussions.

​Attendees emphasized the importance of boosting scientific publishing in reputable international journals and encouraging faculty members to participate in Science Day awards, contributing to the department’s academic and research presence and enhancing its standing.

​The meeting concluded with the Head of Department stressing the importance of integrating efforts and working as a unified team, as well as continuing to advance academic and research performance in alignment with the vision of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul to achieve institutional excellence and uphold quality standards and academic accreditation.
