The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held its first session for the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Thabit Al-Khashab, Head of the Department, with the participation of the rapporteurs for both morning and evening studies, and the attendance of faculty members, implementing the directives of the college deanship in preparation for the start of the new academic year.

​The meeting reviewed the department’s academic and administrative plan for the upcoming period, approving teaching load distributions for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Formations for scientific, administrative, and examination committees were also finalized to ensure the smooth flow of the educational process and achieve performance efficiency.

​The council also addressed several strategic matters, chief among them completing program accreditation requirements, finalizing performance evaluation files for the 2025–2026 academic year, adhering to lecture schedules, and covering curriculum subjects. Additionally, the session covered monitoring faculty attendance, activating the student absence tracking system, and emphasizing the confidentiality of postgraduate student defenses and seminars.

​On the scientific front, attendees underscored the importance of boosting publications in reputable international journals and indexes, as well as encouraging faculty members to participate in Science Day awards, contributing to the department’s research output and raising the college’s standing in quality metrics and academic rankings.

​The meeting concluded with the Head of the Department stressing that the upcoming stage requires integrated efforts and teamwork to achieve the vision of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul in institutional excellence, elevating the quality of education, scientific research, and community service.
