The Management Information Systems Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “The Impact of Digital Citizenship on Achieving Digital Sustainability: The Mediating Role of Digital Transformation”, presented by the student Shaiyma Ahmed Sulaiman Hammood, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Discussion Hall No. 2.

​The study aimed to provide a theoretical framework for the research variables, which include digital citizenship, digital sustainability, and digital transformation. It sought to build a model illustrating the impact of digital citizenship on achieving digital sustainability, highlight the mediating role of digital transformation in this relationship, and offer recommendations to enhance digital sustainability at the University of Mosul.

​The study reached several conclusions, most notably that faculty members possess a high level of awareness regarding the research variables, with the digital responsibility dimension ranking highest in importance among the dimensions of digital citizenship. Furthermore, the findings revealed a statistically significant positive impact of digital citizenship on both digital sustainability and digital transformation. The results also confirmed the active role of digital transformation as a mediating and driving variable, with the alignment dimension emerging as the most influential aspect of digital transformation in achieving digital sustainability.
