Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, met today, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Hall 1 with section, year, and department representatives from both the morning and evening studies to mark the start of the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, and student representative Muhammad Hashim Al-Luhaibi.

​The meeting covered two main tracks, social and academic. The Dean highlighted the value of staying in regular contact with students to understand their day-to-day challenges, resolve issues promptly, and offer necessary administrative and logistical support, including simplifying approvals for official field trips. He also stressed the importance of academic advisors and class representatives in relaying student feedback openly and accurately, resolving issues internally before bringing them to higher administration, and formalizing representative roles through official letters to keep lines of communication smooth.

​On the academic front, the Dean noted that section representatives act as vital links between students, departments, and faculty. Their role involves sharing feedback about lectures, assignments, makeup sessions, exam schedules, and formal postponement procedures under current university guidelines, as well as passing along academic and administrative concerns so departments can resolve them quickly.

​The discussion also emphasized building a spirit of teamwork and encouraging students to get involved in academic, sports, and social events. Particular attention was given to supporting students visiting from other governorates, especially female students, to help clear any obstacles in their academic path.

​The session wrapped up with an open floor where student representatives shared their views and proposals. The Dean listened to their ideas, noted their key feedback, and discussed several points in detail, reaffirming the deanship’s commitment to open dialogue and to treating students as real partners in enhancing campus life and the learning experience.
