From the Academic Decision Platform at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul… Strategic Priorities Enhancing Quality and Reshaping Performance Paths

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 the fifth session of the College Council for the academic year 2026–2027. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, with the attendance of the associate deans, heads of scientific departments, and several heads of administrative units and sections.
The Council discussed the key directives of the University Council and the mechanisms for their implementation. Leading these priorities were adherence to the unified university dress code, organizing student transfers and hostings in accordance with official approvals, and adopting an 8:00 AM start time for classes in certain colleges—including the College of Administration and Economics—based on directives from the University Presidency to alleviate morning traffic congestion.
Additionally, the Council examined the preparation of comprehensive plans to support institutional accreditation. These include programs for psychological counseling, anti-corruption initiatives, staff development, and research planning, as well as emphasizing consultations with stakeholders regarding academic curricula and approving proposed titles for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations within specified deadlines.
The session also included discussions on the postgraduate admissions plan for the 2027–2028 academic year and reinforced the importance of expanding scientific publishing within reputable international indexing databases.
The Council concluded its meeting by reviewing the remaining agenda items and issuing the necessary recommendations and measures to enhance academic and administrative performance quality and to support the college’s trajectory toward institutional accreditation and excellence.
