The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Enhancing Logistics Operations by Adopting the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Model: A Survey Study in the Diyala State Company.”

Part of the thesis was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, and his assistants for academic and administrative affairs.

The current study, presented by the student Ali Hussein Ali in the Department of Industrial Management, aimed to: diagnose the extent of the relationship and correlation, the level of its impact, analyze, and discuss the contribution of the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) model, in terms of its dimensions, as an independent variable, to enhancing logistics operations, as a dependent variable at the company level, the field of the current study.  The study reached key conclusions, including: There was a positive application of the variables in the current study, while at the same time, there was a lack of awareness on the part of the company’s management in the field of study to integrate these variables together.

The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Ismail Hadid, and included Assistant Professor Dr. Hiba Muhammad Hussein from the Technical Administrative College/Mosul, and Assistant Professor Mr. Riyad Jamil Wahab, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ghazi Thanoun.
