The Department of Business Administration – College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Discusses a Higher Diploma Thesis on Ambidextrous Leadership and Knowledge Hiding Behaviors

The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, witnessed on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the discussion of a higher diploma thesis entitled: “The Role of Ambidextrous Leadership in Knowledge Hiding Behaviors: An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Faculty Members at the Colleges of the University of Mosul”
The thesis was submitted by the student Yousef Fares Hussein Al-Obaidi and was defended in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to investigate the role of ambidextrous leadership through its diverse behavioral practices within educational institutions, represented by the University of Mosul, particularly as reflected in the practices of faculty members across different colleges, and how these practices contribute to reducing knowledge hiding behaviors.
The study reached several conclusions, most notably the existence of a statistically significant correlation between ambidextrous leadership and the reduction of knowledge hiding behaviors at both the overall and partial levels. This finding reinforces the importance of adopting leadership styles that support knowledge sharing within academic institutions.
