The Department of Industrial Management – College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Discusses a Higher Diploma Thesis on Lean Manufacturing Techniques

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held the defense of a Higher Diploma thesis on Thursday, February 26, 2026, entitled:
“The Role of Selected Lean Manufacturing Techniques in Enhancing Competitive Priorities,”
submitted by the student Ali Jassim Mohammed. The defense took place in the hall of the Department of Economics at the College.
The study aimed to examine the role of selected lean manufacturing techniques in strengthening the competitive priorities of industrial organizations through improving cost efficiency, quality, delivery speed, and flexibility. It also sought to assess the level of implementation of these techniques and their impact on enhancing organizational performance.
The study reached several key conclusions, most notably that the actual implementation of lean manufacturing techniques contributes to increasing production efficiency, improving overall performance, and reducing costs. The findings also confirmed a positive correlation between strengthening competitive priorities and the systematic and integrated adoption of these techniques.
