The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Master’s Thesis on the Impact of the Liquidity Gap on Financial Soundness Indicators

The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Master’s thesis entitled: “Liquidity Gap and its Impact on Financial Soundness Indicators: An Analytical Study of a Sample of Arab Countries for the Period (2014–2024)”, submitted by the student Majeed Hameed Majeed Al-Maadidi, in Discussion Hall No. (2).

​The study aimed to analyze the impact of the liquidity gap on the financial soundness indicators of banks in the study sample, focusing on understanding the relationship between banking liquidity management and the soundness and stability of the financial system, thereby contributing to enhancing banking performance efficiency and supporting financial stability. It also sought to highlight the importance of rational management of banking liquidity and its role in reducing financial risks, and to demonstrate the reflections of the liquidity gap on financial soundness indicators in a number of Arab countries during the study period.

​Part of the discussion session was attended by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khaled, and the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader.
