The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, witnessed on Sunday, July 26, 2026, the discussion of the Master’s thesis titled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Sustainable Development: The Mediating Role of Intersecting Waves Strategy,” presented by the student Karam Hisham Abdullah, in Discussion Hall No. (1).

​The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in achieving sustainable development goals, and to reveal the mediating role that the intersecting waves strategy can play in enhancing this relationship, thereby contributing to supporting organizations’ trends toward adopting smart and sustainable solutions that enhance performance efficiency and achieve comprehensive development.

​The study concluded that artificial intelligence represents one of the main drivers for supporting sustainable development, and that the intersecting waves strategy plays an effective mediating role in maximizing the impact of artificial intelligence applications in achieving sustainable development goals, thereby enhancing organizations’ ability to respond to changes and achieve sustainable value at the economic, social, and environmental levels.
