The College’s Media and Government Communication Division Launches a Smart Electronic Platform to Organize Graduate Thesis Defense Data

With direct support from the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, the Media and Government Communication Division has launched a modern electronic mechanism to organize and manage the data of graduate students preparing to defend their research, Master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations. This qualitative step aims to accelerate administrative procedures and elevate the quality of digital services provided to students.

The new mechanism relies on a Quick Response Code (QR Code), allowing Higher Diploma, Master’s, and Doctoral students to enter their personal and academic data electronically via a unified form. This contributes to completing defense requirements accurately and swiftly, ensuring data standardization, and making it easier to utilize this information for news coverage, media reporting, and promotional materials related to the defenses.

The Head of the Media and Government Communication Division, Associate Professor Dr. Ashti Abdul-Sattar Al-Muzuri, confirmed that this update aligns with the college’s direction toward digital transformation and administrative simplification. He explained that the system helps provide an accurate and updated information database and produces integrated academic and media content that professionally reflects the college’s activities and achievements, in addition to saving time and effort and improving the quality of services offered to students.

He added that the division’s electronic and media platforms represent the official face of the college and the mirror reflecting its academic standing and institutional presence before both the local community and international academic circles—a responsibility that requires adopting modern digital tools capable of keeping pace with technological advancements and enhancing institutional efficiency.
