The Department of Marketing Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Monday, August 31, 2026  in Discussion Hall No. (1) the Master’s thesis titled “Strategic Monitoring as an Approach to Enhancing Pharmaceutical Marketing Strategies: The Mediating Role of Marketing Decision Quality in the Pharmaceutical Sector”, submitted by the student Taiba Muhammad Idris Nadeem Al-Tamimi.

The study aimed to diagnose the level of strategic monitoring adoption in the surveyed organizations and demonstrate their level of interest in practices related to sensing and analyzing internal and external environmental variables associated with pharmaceutical activity, as well as measuring the application level of pharmaceutical marketing strategies and evaluating their effectiveness in achieving desired marketing objectives.

The results of the study revealed that the surveyed organizations possess an acceptable ability to align their goals with the nature of pharmaceutical activity; however, this ability still requires greater flexibility to keep pace with rapid environmental changes. The results also indicated a clear interest in monitoring organizational gaps and working to address them, though this interest has not yet reached the level that guarantees a proactive and comprehensive resolution to various deficiencies, which highlights the importance of improving marketing decision quality to enhance the efficiency of pharmaceutical marketing strategies.
