He was accompanied by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, and the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader.
The tour served as a follow-up on the outcomes of the meeting held with postgraduate rapporteurs on August 31, 2026, aiming to assess the progress made in fulfilling admission and commencement requirements for new students. It also ensured the completion of basic procedures, foremost among them the medical examination, drug test, security clearance, legal guaranty, payment of tuition fees for self-funding students, and completion of enrollment procedures to ensure they are finalized within the specified legal timeframes.
Additionally, the Dean inspected the workflow at the Postgraduate Studies Unit, emphasizing the importance of adopting electronic archiving for student files, maintaining them in both paper and electronic formats to contribute to swift completion and accurate data documentation. This was accompanied by monitoring the requirements of the SIS and IQ systems, alongside supporting the move toward designing a smart electronic system to track timeframes and academic entitlements for postgraduate students.
During the tour, the Dean commended the organizational efforts made in the Industrial Management Department, praising the follow-up of the postgraduate rapporteur, Dr. Islam Yousif Sheet, and the outstanding work provided by the designated staff member, Mr. Mohammed Nazim Ismail, in organizing and preparing student files according to the highest standards of accuracy.
The tour concluded with the Dean meeting the newly admitted postgraduate students, welcoming them and offering several guidelines regarding their academic journey. He emphasized that the language of instruction in postgraduate programs will be English, in alignment with academic quality requirements and to enhance students’ efficiency and ability to keep pace with global scientific developments.
