The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Thursday, September 3, 2026, a master’s thesis entitled “The Impact of Digital Empowerment in Reducing Techno-Stress,” submitted by the student Badr Hlayel Aaid Ali Al-Shammari, in Discussion Hall No. (1).

​The study aimed to reveal the impact of digital empowerment, through its dimensions (digital awareness, digital motivation, technical access, and digital competence), in reducing techno-stress among employees at the Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residence in Nineveh. It also aimed to provide a scientific framework explaining how to prepare human resources to deal effectively with the digital work environment and cope with the associated pressures.

​The study reached a set of conclusions, most notably the existence of a statistically significant positive impact of digital empowerment in reducing techno-stress. This confirms that developing employees’ digital capabilities and skills contributes to reducing technical pressures, particularly techno-overload and techno-complexity, and enhances their ability to adapt efficiently and effectively to digital work environments.
