Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammad Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, chaired the first meeting of the specialized scientific committee tasked with studying and preparing a comprehensive proposal to integrate entrepreneurship concepts and topics into the approved curricula across the faculties of the University of Mosul, held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Deanery headquarters of the College of Administration and Economics.

​Formed by the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the committee comprised: Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammad Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Maan Waadallah Jarallah Al-Maadheedee, College of Administration and Economics, Member, Prof. Dr. Muthanna Subhi Sulaiman, Director of the Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, Member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Basheer Mohammad, College of Administration and Economics, Member, Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Nazim Qab’a, Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, Member.

​The attendees discussed the roadmap for the project and reviewed proposals submitted by various university faculties regarding entrepreneurship course materials, preparing for a detailed study to adopt topics suitable for different academic disciplines.

The meeting marked the official start of the curriculum preparation process, during which the committee completed a significant portion of its tasks. It was agreed to integrate entrepreneurship subject matter into the final academic year of each college, aligning with varying study durations across disciplines and maximizing the benefit for students prior to graduation.

​The project aims to align university outcomes with labor market requirements by equipping students with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, particularly in conducting feasibility studies, launching ventures, and fostering a culture of self-employment. This initiative prepares graduates with a practical vision capable of keeping pace with economic shifts and development demands.

​The selection of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics to lead this committee stems from the college’s academic standing and pioneering role as one of the faculties most closely connected to the business environment and labor market, alongside its academic expertise in management, economics, and entrepreneurship, ensuring the success of this strategic project across the University of Mosul.
