The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at Mosul University Enters Final Phase of Readiness for Programmatic Accreditation

Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 an expanded meeting with the faculty and staff of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences. The meeting was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Oday Salem Ali, Head of the Department, as part of final preparations to welcome the ministerial team of national evaluators for programmatic accreditation.

​The meeting focused on critical files in the accreditation process, primarily scientific research quality, publishing in indexed international journals, and completing academic and organizational documentation to demonstrate the department’s academic and institutional performance.

​During an interview with the Media and Government Communication Unit, the Dean confirmed that the department has satisfied the primary readiness requirements for the visit—reflecting the college’s strategy to embed quality standards, strengthen the rigor of its academic programs, and advance steadily toward accreditation and excellence.
