A workshop held at College of Archaeology as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

On Sunday, February 8, 2026, University of Mosul launched Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the participation of several university colleges, including College of Archaeology. This initiative is part of a comprehensive program aimed at fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation within the university community.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, the College of Archaeology held a workshop entitled “Restoration of the Ziyada House and the Gunpowder Khana Restoration Projects.” The workshop was presented by Mr. Fadhil Mohammed Khader, a senior archaeologist with the Nineveh Antiquities and Heritage Authority. The workshop addressed the restoration of the Ziyada House and the damage it sustained due to terrorist operations. It also discussed the restoration of the Gunpowder Khana, a significant military institution during that era. This workshop is part of Entrepreneurship Week and is one of the scientific and awareness-raising activities that contribute to developing entrepreneurial thinking and encouraging creativity and excellence among students, in line with the goals of the project adopted by the university administration.
