A Faculty Member from Our College Participates in a Ph.D. Thesis Defense Committee at the University of Mosul

Assistant Professor Dr. Okab Youssef Jumaa, a faculty member in the Department of History at the College of Basic Education, participated as a member of the Ph.D. thesis defense committee in Islamic History. The thesis is entitled: (The History of the Byzantines in Al-Kamil fi Al-Tarikh by Ibn al-Athir and Mirat al-Zaman by Sibt ibn al-Jawzi (630–749 AH / 1232–1348 AD): A Comparative Study).

The defense took place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the hall of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences in the college. A number of faculty members and graduate students attended part of the session.

The defense committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Safwan Taha Hassan, with the membership of:
