1. What are the Sustainable Development Goals?
Learn about the United Nations’ ambitious plan for a better and more sustainable future by 2030.
The Sustainable Development Goals were established in 2015 as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda. They include 17 key goals aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and achieving prosperity for all.

End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

3. Sustainable Development in the Department of Environmental Sciences
Our department actively supports the Sustainable Development Goals and environmental sciences through research projects aimed at improving the environment and enhancing social and economic awareness.
This includes organizing educational workshops, awareness campaigns, and encouraging students to participate in environmental and social initiatives that contribute to achieving the global goals.
The department also works to develop innovative strategies to promote sustainability within the academic environment and the surrounding community.
