Visit to Al-Hadba Specialist Hospital for Blood Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplantation
As part of the College of Medicine, University of Mosul’s commitment to its social responsibility and promoting the spirit of social solidarity, the Volunteer Work Support Committee at the college organized a visit to Al-Hadba Specialist Hospital for Blood Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplantation. The visit was attended by a number of faculty members and students, with the aim of observing the patients’ conditions and providing moral and humanitarian support.
During the visit, financial assistance was provided to a number of patients hospitalized in the hospital, as a humanitarian initiative aimed at alleviating their suffering and promoting the spirit of solidarity and social cohesion, as well as bringing joy and happiness to their hearts.
In this context, the Dean of the College emphasized that this initiative is part of the college’s efforts to support voluntary and humanitarian activities, enhancing the college’s role in serving the community and instilling a culture of volunteerism among students. This initiative also contributes to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals, including:
1. Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being)
2. Goal 1 (No Poverty)
3. Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities)
At the end of the visit, the patients and their families expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this humanitarian initiative, praising the efforts made by the college and the Volunteer Work Committee in supporting patients and standing by their side.
