The Senior Statistician Farah Haitham Fathi Completes Successfully Her Discussion of Master’s Thesis

The senior statistician Farah H. Fathi, who is affiliated to the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, College of Medicine completed her master’s study on a “comparison between traditional estimator methods and a PES estimator for the parameters of the general linear regression model with the application” on Monday, 1st November 2021.

The study dealt with the use of one of the most important and widely used non-linear regression models in modeling statistical applications.

The study aimed to estimate and improve the parameters of the binary logistic regression model through the use of the classic (normal) estimation methods (MLE, MCSE, WLSE, BE), and to compare these methods using the statistical standard mean error squares (MSE) and compare them to reach the best method and then build a model Logistic regression to show the most important factors affecting diabetes and to estimate its parameters using the best methods.

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read included accepting the thesis and granting the student a master’s degree.

The deanship and the members of the college congratulate her and wish her continued success.
