The Council of the College of Medicine Holds Its Tenth Meeting for the Academic Year 2021-2022
The Council of the College of Medicine held its tenth regular meeting for the academic year 2021-2022 on Sunday, 23rd January 2022. Initially, the dean congratulated Lecturer Dr Bassam Kh. Al-Hajjar from the Department of Surgery on the occasion of joining the council as a member after being elected as a representative of the college in the Iraqi Academics Syndicate/ Nineveh branch.
In the field of the current mid-year exams, the Scientific Vice-Dean stressed the necessity to harness all available technical and administrative capabilities to make the exams successful especially in terms of taking care of exam questions and commitment to observations especially after adopting attendance exams for most of subjects.
In the affairs of postgraduate studies, a discussion committee for a master’s student was chosen for the Department of Medical Physiology. It also promoted the file of promotion to the rank of assistant professor in the specialty of dermatology and venereal diseases. Researches of some teaching staff from different scientific departments were also recorded as well as other issues and points that were discussed in the session.
The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and Administrative Vice-Dean Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf in addition to other members of the council.
