The College of Medicine Holds Its First Meeting to Monitor the Special Academic Program

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim chaired the first periodic meeting to monitor the academic program of the faculty, on Tuesday, 1st February 2022.

The meeting discussed how to monitor and evaluate the program in addition to presenting the details of the curriculum (theoretical and practical), and how to build a description for each course and according to the accreditation requirements. Mechanisms for questionnaires and referendums to be conducted for students, graduates, the community and all teaching staff have also been made, and they must be completed before the start of the second semester.

In the meantime, the Electronic Support Committee was directed to the importance of serious cooperation with the Curriculum Committee for the purpose of completing the course description for all academic subjects. The dean also stressed the need to allocate an appropriate place for the Curriculum Committee in the college to provide all the possibilities available to it and to support it with more teaching staff for the purpose of completing its work as it is one of the most important pillars of obtaining accreditation. Among the attendees were the Head of the Curriculum Committee, Assistant Prof Dr Arwa M. Al-Sarraf, and the Head of the Quality Assurance Division, the Lecturer Dr Ahmed A. Ahmed. It was also attended by medical education officials, members of the curricula committees, the program items, the program monitoring items, the student assessment items, and the examination evaluation committee, thesis and outputs.
