A Professor from the Department of Surgery is a Member of the Discussion Committee for a Master’s Thesis in the College of Nursing on the Investigation of Prostatic Hyperplasia for Patients with Lower Urinary Tract Infections.

A master’s thesis submitted by the student Ahmed M. Suleiman was discussed in the College of Nursing entitled “Examination of Prostate Hyperplasia for Patients with Lower Urinary Tract Infections in Mosul Teaching Hospitals” on Wednesday, 15th December 2021. The discussion committee was chaired by Prof Dr Hussein H. Attiya and the membership of a number of other academics, including Assistant Prof Dr Uday H. Mohamed from the department of Surgery.

The thesis discussed the prevalence of benign prostatic hyperplasia among people in the city of Mosul, as the increase in lower urinary tract symptoms is associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

It recommended publishing the standard model of early detection of benign prostatic hyperplasia which is applied globally to health centres in Nineveh Governorate.

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read including accepting the thesis after making amendments to it and awarding the student a master’s degree.
