College of Medicine

A new scientific achievement is added to the series of achievements presented by the College of Medicine. It was granted the patent entitled (Detoxification of the Hydrocyanide Compound from Fermented Apricot Seed Extract Using Strains of Lactobacillus SPP. isolated from mother’s milk) to a group of researchers from the Universities of Basra and Mosul, and the Health Department of Nineveh and the General Company for Food Stuff Trading / Basra Branch. Among the participants was Prof Dr Imad Abdul-Jabbar Thanoun, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, from our college. Congratulations to Prof Dr Imad Abdul-Jabbar Thanoun for his continuous creativity and participation in this invention, and congratulations to all researchers.
