One of Teaching Staff from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Chairs a Discussion Committee of a Master’s Thesis in the College of Nursing
A master’s thesis submitted by the student Abdul Rahman M. Hashim entitled “The effect of anabolic steroids on male fertility among healthy bodybuilders in gyms in the city of Mosul” was discussed in the College of Nursing on Tuesday, 22nd June 2021. The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Prof Dr Ahmed J. Al-Husseini from the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and under the supervision of Prof Dr Salwa H. Al-Mukhtar with a number of other teaching staff.
The thesis aimed to investigate the effect of anabolic steroids on reproductive health in terms of male hormones and semen among healthy bodybuilders in gymnasiums in Mosul city.
The message included conducting analyzes that included FSH, LH, Free Testosterone and Semen Analysis for players who go to gyms for the purpose of bodybuilding.
After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read including accepting the thesis after making amendments to it and awarding the student a master’s degree.
