The College of Medicine Earns Fourth Rank among the Colleges of Iraqi Universities

The results of the central admission for the academic year 2021-2022, which was officially announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ranked the College of Medicine at Mosul University in the fourth place (equally with the College of Medicine, University of Kirkuk), with a minimum acceptance rate of 100.17%. The colleges of medicine in Baghdad, Al-Kindi and Al-Nahrain came in the first three ranks, with minimum rates of 100.92%, 100.50% and 100.33%, respectively. In spite of losing the college its original location on the right side of the city of Mosul (next to the medical complex), and the large number of students currently enrolled in it (more than 2,000 students except for the first stage), it still retains its greatness that dates back to more than sixty years ago. Wish of students (with high averages) to join it and their preference for it over others is the best evidence that it is still on the right path despite its aforementioned exceptional status. Wish the medicine of Mosul remains lofty and radiant in the journey of science, knowledge and creativity in the service of our university, our city and our country if Allah willing.
