The College of Medicine Holds Courses on Laboratory Safety
The College of Medicine at the University of Mosul held a course to prepare the college staff, including academic staff and technicians for laboratory safety and archiving chemicals, in the Hall of Postgraduate Discussion in the deanship of the college, today, Sunday, 9th April, 2023.
It was inaugurated by the Vice- President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof Dr Mounir S. Taha. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednathir Saeed and his vice- deans for scientific and administrative affairs.
From the office of the scientific vice-president, the guests attended – the Division of Controlling the Handling of Chemical and Biological Materials – the CBRN University Committee and a number of academic staff from various scientific departments.
Prof Dr Mounir S. Taha and Assistant Prof Dr Muhannad Yaqzan, Head of the Division for Controlling the Handling of Chemical and Biological Substances, Assistant Prof Dr Muhammad A. Jassim / CBRN Team, gave their lectures in it.
The course dealt with topics on safety in educational laboratories and explained their requirements and the necessity of working with them. It is worth noting that the course work will last for more than aweek.
