The College of Medicine Holds Its Educational Forum on the Inimitability of the Qur’an between Science and Faith

The College of Medicine held its educational forum on the Inimitability of the Qur’an between science and faith on Tuesday 8th March 2020.

The forum aimed to handle the scientific and medical miracles of the Glorious Qur’an through an enlightening educational lecture in this field.

He concluded that the Glorious Qur’an is not a book of medicine, engineering, astronomy, chemistry or other sciences. Rather, it is a legislative book that was established by Allah Almighty to clarify and guide people, from which they derive ways of dealing with the Creator and the creature alike. However, it dealt with many scientific issues and divine wisdom by containing it, and to be a future guide in the face of every hesitant on the one hand, and a lamp for those seeking the truth always and forever on the other hand.

He recommended the college or university to continue holding such scientific-faith activities or events that would stoke the importance of linking pure scientific information with great certainties.

The forum, which was moderated by the College Media Director, Senior Chief Engineer, Hasan Y. Abdullah, began with verses from the Glorious Qur’an, followed by the Director of the Student Activities Department, Assistant Prof Dr Abdul-Malik S. Muhammad, a poem for a professor of the College of Basic Education, Prof Dr Jassim M.Jassim Al-Ajja, and then the main lecture by the leading consultant physician Dr Muhammad Jamil Al-Habbal entitled “The New Medical Signs in the Glorious Qur’an.” A chance for discussion, questions and interposition by the attendees was given.

On the side-lines of the work, the participants were honoured. The honouring also included the outstanding college students for all grades of the academic year 2020-2021 and the winners of the fourth art pathology competition as well as honoring two students who discovered an error in a systematic medical textbook and anatomy atlas.
