The Council of the College of Medicine Approves Opening a Master’s Study in the Disciplines of Anatomy, Medical Physiology, Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry and Community Medicine

The Council of the College of Medicine has approved the opening of master’s studies in the disciplines of anatomy, medical physiology, pathology, clinical biochemistry and community medicine. This occurred during the fourth meeting of the Council on Sunday, 31 October 2021 during which the plan for admission to postgraduate studies for the academic year 2022-2023 was discussed. The Council also recommended the opening of a high diploma in the specialty of family medicine. In the same context, it was approved to grant doctoral and master’s degrees in pharmacology and clinical biochemistry. It was also decided to form discussion committees for postgraduate students in the college.

In another context, the council was looked at the latest preparations to move to the new building of the college (in the palaces). Some scientific researches were also recorded for a number of teaching staff of different scientific departments as well as other issues and points that were discussed in the session.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy -Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and in the presence of the Administrative Deputy- Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf as well as other members of the council.
