The Council of the College of Medicine Discusses in Its Second Emergency Session for the Academic Year 2021-2022 the Needs of the college with Regard to Projects and Buildings

The Council of the College of Medicine discussed the projects and buildings that it is hoped to establish on the current site of the college. This occurred during the second emergency session for the academic year 2021-2022 which was held on Sunday, 30th January 2022.

The projects and buildings referred to include, in particular, study halls and the extent of accommodating the halls for students. The secretary of the council also conveyed to the members of the meeting his impressions about the reality of the buildings after his repeated visits to the right side (under construction) especially in terms of the number of halls as well. It is worth noting that the number of students enrolled in the college during the current academic year is very large and unprecedented. The amounts to 2441 students for the undergraduate and higher studies which prompted the esteemed council to discuss this issue in a separate emergency meeting to handle this issue according to the available administrative and technical frameworks and contexts.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean of the College of Medicine (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and Administrative Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf, and other members of the council.
