A discussion was held for the student of the Iraqi Board of Pathology Dr Narjes Q. Muhammad Sharif entitled “The Immunohistochemical Evaluation of SMA Marker in the Stroma of Breast Tumors” on Sunday, 10th April 2022.The discussion committee consisted of:Prof Dr Wahda M.Tayeb Al-Nuaimi (Chairman)Consultant Dr Hatem A. Al Nuaimi (Member)Assistant Prof Dr Nadwa S. El Ezzo (Member)Assistant Prof Dr Ihsan M. Abdullah (Member and supervisor)The study showed that acquisition of SMA antigen is a suggestive of tumour invasion or malignant transformation and that SMA immunohistochemical marker positivity is an aid in distinguishing between benign and malignant breast tumours.Finally, the student’s research was accepted at the end of the discussion.
