The National Evaluation Exams

Our sixth-year students have taken the first two National Evaluation Exams, conducted centrally by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The first exam, including internal medicine, was conducted on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The second one took place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, and involved students taking their pediatrics examination. Our students are currently awaiting the remaining two examinations in surgery; and obstetrics and gynecology.

This exam is supervised by a special committee led by the dean, Professor Dr. Basil SAEED.

The Ministry of Higher Education administers these exams electronically; thus, the College of Medicine University of Mosul supplied all the necessary tools to ensure the accuracy and convenience of the test. The College of Medicine established three new labs in 2022, all equipped with smart screens and over 200 brand-new, highly developed laptops. These labs are managed by a camera system integrated with the college’s entire camera network.

As part of University Leadership’s efforts to support the college achieve better results, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, vice president for scientific affairs, visited the college to support the deanship and students during these exams.
