The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, chaired the seventh meeting of the Primary Accreditation Committee of the college for the academic year 2021-2022 on Tuesday, 15th March 2022. The meeting was attended by the Scientific Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim and the Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, Lecturer Dr Ahmed A. Ahmed as well as the relevant correlation members in various scientific departments.The attendees discussed some points related to accreditation requirements, and the extent of progress made in the process of collecting information carried out by the sub-committees on accreditation items according to the guide issued by the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq. A number of the teaching staff also submitted their reports on the academic program, staffing and monitoring of the academic program and educational resources. In this context, comments and suggestions were included and given to overcome the difficulties facing the work of the sub-committees. The completion of the formation of the steering committee for the accreditation of the College of Medicine was also discussed as the approval of the college council obtained its formation. Thus, the meetings will continue to be held until the writing of the self-assessment report required to obtain the desired reliability if Allah will.
