Two professors from the Department of Surgery participated in three committees to discuss the students of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties at the Erbil Educational Centre for Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery on Thursday, 17th February 2022. The Official of the Iraqi Board for the aforementioned specialty (Mosul Centre) Prof Dr Ali Abdul Muttalib Muhammad, participated in one of the committees ( as its chairman), and a second committee (in his capacity as a member). The same applies to the supervisor of the Iraqi Board, Assistant Prof Dr Haitham A. Al-Nouri as he participated in two committees (in his capacity as a member of them).

The discussions generally dealt with the topics of the process of adjusting the nasal septum deviation by comparing one or two sides of the membrane lift, the relationship of the number of eosinophils in the mucous membrane and the surrounding area to the severity of chronic sinusitis, and the assessment of pre and post septal adjustment in relation to nasal obstruction and headache.

After extensive discussions, the submitted papers were accepted. Congratulations to our creative teachers for their scientific and knowledge brilliance in the academic and research fields.
