A scientific visit to the College of Pharmacy at the University of Dohuk.

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Zeina Abdel Moneim Abdel Majeed, and within the framework of consolidating university relations and exchanging experiences, the Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants Department performed a scientific visit to the College of Pharmacy at the University of Dohuk on February 29, 2024, accompanied by a group of members of the College Council, teaching staff, and undergraduate students. The scientific delegation was received by Professor Dr. Suzan Omar, Dean of the College, and the teaching staff, where a successful introductory symposium was organized on the history of the College and the followed Bologna system.

The President of the Student Union spoke about their effective role in supporting the educational process. This was followed by mutual honoring from the Deanship of the two colleges and the teaching staff with shields and certificates of appreciation, to enhance the spirit of academic cooperation.

After that, an exploratory tour was conducted in the college’s corridors and laboratories, accompanied by the heads of departments and the teaching staff, to get a closer look at the work mechanisms and educational services provided to students.

At the end of the visit, a football match was held between the two colleges’ teams, which embodied the sportsmanship and enthusiasm among the players.

Later, the Deanship of the College of Pharmacy and the department of Drugs and Medicinal Plants extended their deep thanks and appreciation to the Deanship and staff of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Dohuk for the good reception and cooperation, stressing the great importance of such events in promoting academic exchange and fruitful university ties.
