Clinical Pharmacy course, Nutritional Supplements: A look at the benefits and harms. the second dayThe activities of the specialized scientific course, which are held by the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, is continue in its second day, May 30, 2022, in the Seminars Hall, with two lectures.
The first lecture was entitled:
Indications for the use of common nutritional supplements, by Dr. Sadeel Abdel Moneim Shanshal, followed by the second lecture, which was entitled: Side effects of common nutritional supplements. Presented by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.
The two lectures included a review of the most important and common nutritional supplements with the reasons for their use, and a warning against the indiscriminate use of them, especially without a prescription, as they may cause health damage in the short and long term. The two lectures also included a review of the percentages of the use of these substances in a number of countries and the materials that were banned by the FDA as a result of their side effects that harm human health.
The lectures will continue on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, which is the closing day of the course.
