Our college’s participation in the fourth scientific conference of the College of Political Science at Tikrit University

Several faculty members from the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul participated in the Fourth Scientific Conference of the College of Political Science at Tikrit University, titled “Iraq: Current Challenges and Future Aspirations.” The conference was held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Naim Al-Aboodi, and the respected head of the Counter-Terrorism Bureau, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Saadi, under the supervision of the respected President of Tikrit University, Prof. Wathiq Mahmoud Raouf, on May 3, 2023.

The participating research papers included:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Salim Motar Abdullah: The Interplay between the Requirements of Achieving Security and Democratic Practice in Post-Conflict Countries: Selected International Models.
  2. Dr. Yunis Muayyad Younis: Iraq and the Duality of its Water Challenges: Global Warming and Regional Neighbors.
  3. Ms. Saja Fattah Zaidan: Health Security in Nineveh Province after 2020: Challenges and Opportunities.
  4. Mr. Omar Hashim Thanoon and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Maysar Fathi: Strategic Response and Challenges of Iraqi National Security: The Iraqi National Security Strategy as a Model.
  5. Dr. Khairallah Subhan Abdullah: Policies of Societal Rehabilitation in the Post-Conflict Phase.
  6. Ms. Najwan Hani Mahmoud: The Role of UNESCO in Confronting Extremism and Achieving Peace in Iraq.
