The Women’s Affairs Unit of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a scientific workshop on the importance of afforestation in achieving environmental balance

On Sunday, 27 October 2024, the workshop included two lectures, addressing the significance of afforestation for the environment and how trees contribute to environmental protection. The lectures were delivered by Dr. Afraa Riyadh Mohammed, Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer Aseel Ghanem Abdul, respectively.

On the sidelines of the workshop, some trees and plants were planted in the college garden, coinciding with the ongoing national afforestation campaign. The workshop was attended by the member of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Assistant Lecturer Somaya Ghanem Al-Khabouri; the Scientific Associate Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri; and several faculty members and college staff.
