College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Attends UNESCO Chair Ceremony Announcing the Results of the Peace Narratives Competition

Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the attendance of some members of the University Council, the UNESCO Chair announced the results of the Peace Narratives Competition during a central ceremony held on Monday, 16 June 2025.

Representing the College of Political Science, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasem Al-Taie, attended the event, along with two faculty members from the Department of International Relations: Lecturer Ms. Basma Mohammed Nadhir, who received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her participation in the competition, and Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Thanoon.

The competition focused on the art of short story writing, and the ceremony highlighted its importance and how it can be utilized to promote peace, stability, and peaceful coexistence—contributing to a culture of peace and fostering a cohesive and refined society under the banner of our great Iraq.
