In implementation of Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, the Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Mosul held a specialized workshop on the mechanisms for organizing local and international scientific conferences, on Sunday, 3 August 2025. The workshop was attended by the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, along with other relevant stakeholders.

From the College of Political Science, the workshop was attended by Dr. Raghad Nazar Saeed, Lecturer and Head of the Postgraduate Studies Division, and Assistant Lecturer Aseel Ghanem Abd, Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit.

The workshop discussed the general principles of organizing scientific conferences, the importance of forming specialized committees, and enhancing collaboration and coordination between these committees and organizing bodies. This reflects an advanced institutional approach based on the latest digital technologies. The workshop also addressed detailed technical and logistical aspects that must be considered through the adoption of effective mechanisms that project a bright image of the university’s organizational capabilities.
