Assistant Librarian Farah Talib Abbas Successfully Defends Master’s Thesis at the University of Mosul

Assistant Librarian Farah Talib Abbas has successfully defended her master’s thesis at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Scientific Research from the Perspective of Postgraduate Students at the University of Mosul.” The discussion took place on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Dasim Al-Taie, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

The thesis aimed to examine the level of awareness among postgraduate students regarding the importance of artificial intelligence applications, their role in advancing scientific research, facilitating access to sources and references, and highlighting the challenges researchers face in employing these technologies within the academic environment.

Following the discussion, the committee’s decision to accept the thesis and award the student a master’s degree was announced. The College congratulated Ms. Abbas on this outstanding academic achievement, wishing her continued progress and success in her academic and professional career, God willing.
