The Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Holds Its Departmental Meeting

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul), the Head of the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, Professor Dr. Hazim Hamad Mousa, chaired a special departmental meeting on Sunday, 28 December 2025.

The meeting discussed a number of organizational and administrative issues, including emphasizing adherence to examination regulations and ensuring the presence of examination committees at their designated times; organizing the presence of faculty members assigned to teach external courses during the examination period; following up on scientific publishing, research teams, and annual research projects, as well as the mechanism for submitting reports on achievement rates; stressing commitment to official attendance and departure times and early presence in lecture halls; and suspending regular leave during examination periods. The meeting also included listening to the questions and proposals of faculty members and discussing ways of cooperation to overcome certain difficulties.

Among the attendees were also the Department Secretary and the representative of the Academics’ Syndicate, Lecturer Dr. Firas Mohammed Elias, who recorded a number of proposals and recommendations to be discussed later with the College Deanship.
