Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at our College, in cooperation with the Security Center of Nineveh Universities and Institutes, organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Risks of Addiction to Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Methods of Confronting Them” on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the Conference and Discussion Hall at our College.

The seminar focused on the destructive effects caused by the phenomenon of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances, whether at the individual or societal level. It also addressed the relevant legislation and Iraqi laws aimed at combating this phenomenon, in addition to discussing methods of prevention and ways to limit its spread within society.
