Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, Rector of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at our college held its First Counseling Conference. Organized in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Department at the University Presidency and the Continuing Education Unit, the conference was titled: “Psychological Counseling and its Role in Promoting the Values of Social Coexistence: Toward Safe and Stable Societies.”

The event took place on the morning of Monday, April 6, 2026, at the College of Basic Education Hall. The significance of this conference lies in its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
