Under the supervision of the respected Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance organized a scientific and educational activity titled: “Gender Equality: Our Path Towards Sustainable Development,” at our college.

The activity included a series of scientific lectures presented by a group of specialized professors. Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Abdul-Karim addressed the topic of “Promoting a Culture of Tolerance in the Contemporary University Environment,” while Lecturer Dr. Hind Ziad Nafeh discussed “The Role of Education in Consolidating Tolerant Pedagogy to Achieve Peaceful Coexistence.” Additionally, Assistant Lecturer Nabaa Ezz Al-Din Mohammed reviewed “The Concept of Tolerance and Acceptance of the Other in Political Thought.”

The significance of this activity lies in enhancing social and academic awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), as well as consolidating the concepts of peaceful coexistence and acceptance of the other within the university environment. This event is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to spread the values of dialogue and tolerance and to foster an educational environment based on mutual respect and intellectual diversity.
