Conclusion of the Training Course on Strategies for Mitigating Corruption

In the presence of the respected Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the proceedings of the training course titled: “Strategies for Mitigating Financial and Administrative Corruption in Government Institutions” concluded on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in the college’s conference and discussion hall.

The final day of the course featured two lectures:

  • A lecture by Associate Professor Shahlaa Kamal Abdul-Jawad, a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at our college, titled: “Good Governance and Its Impact on Combating Corruption in Government Institutions.”

  • A lecture by Associate Professor Dr. Khairallah Sabhan Abdullah, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, titled: “Administrative and Financial Corruption and Its Impact on Human Rights.”

The significance of this course lies in its response to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly (Goal 1: No Poverty, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
