Meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council at the Deanery of the College of Political Science

Chaired by the respected Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Industrial Advisory Council held its third and fourth sessions on Thursday, June 10, 2026, at the Deanery of the College of Political Science. During the two sessions, the axes listed on the Council’s agenda were discussed, most notably:

  1. Alignment between Educational Outcomes and Labor Market Needs.

  2. The Academic Axis: Updating the college’s curricula for all levels and preparing for the implementation of the Bologna Process.

  3. The Applied Axis: Integrating students into summer or field training programs within government institutions and organizations.

  4. The Scientific Research and Graduation Projects Axis.

  5. The Educational Process Development, Community Partnership, and Sustainable Academic Cooperation Enhancement Axis.

The meeting yielded numerous recommendations and proposals related to the axes of both sessions, which align and harmonize with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly (Goal 4: Quality Education), (Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities), (Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and (Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals).
